Reviewing Cult Favorite - DHC Deep Cleansing Oil

~ Cult Favorite Among Skin Care Lovers ~

Below is a review of DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. I've converted to cleansing oil ever since facial wipes started burning my under-eye areas and I haven't looked back ever since! And this cult favorite is by far my favorite!

🔎 Enriched with antioxidant & vitamins, this cult favorite removes all traces of dirt & makeup (even waterproof ones).

❓ How It Works // As step 1 of double-cleansing, with dry hands, spread oil on dry skin & start massaging gently. Add a little bit of water & oil turns into a milky form. Continue to massage to remove makeup & sunscreen. Wash off with lukewarm water.

✔️ Suitable For // Any skin type.
✔️ No Post-Cleansing Dryness // This doesn’t cause dryness or skin-pulling. My skin feels just slightly moistened after washing it off.
✔️ Skin Benefits// This oil is enriched with antioxidant (olive oil) & vitamins, meaning your skin is being pampered as you’re washing your face.
✔️ Comparing To // I also love Tatcha Camellia Cleansing Oil, but DHC is more affordable. I use my Tatcha every now & then as a splurge.

💡 Packing Tips for Travels// I use the small size as my travel version. Also, don’t laugh, I wrap this bottle with plastic wrap & then place it in a ziplock by itself…because it leaked once & that wasn’t pretty!
💡 Shop for Deals // I bought the jumbo size (200ml). Normally it’s $28usd, but I got mine for $15.90 on a Hong Kong beauty site!

💰 Buy/No Buy // ✅ Buy!

Skin Care On The Go

Skin care routine when I'm traveling
I don't skim on my skin care ritual when I'm on the go for these reasons.

ONE // Most important one - Your skin deserves the best pampering, whether you're at home or not!  I won't compromise my skin health and if it means getting up a little earlier or staying up a littler later, I'll do it.

TWO // Not changing out your products too much will help normalize your skin. Plus, you don't want to be dealing with skin reaction when you're traveling!

THREE // Using the same products that you would at home is the best remedy for homesickness.  As much as I love traveling and seeing new places, I get homesick every now and then.  Seeing familiar things help ease that a little bit.

FOUR // Having a few options for those special treats (sheet masks, clay mask, eye-refreshers, etc) is like carrying a mini-first-aid kit with you in case your skin needs some extra attention in your new location.

I stick with my core products and bring full size or travel size depending on my destination

I know it looks like a lot in this photo, but my core ritual consists of only 8 steps with the rest on rotation depending on how my skin feels.  If I'm visiting home, I bring my full-size since I don't have to worry about multiple transit points or the need to do carry-on only.  If I'm traveling to destinations, then I bring travel-size.

The white triangle includes my 8 core steps. 1.   Pre-Cleanse // Tatcha Pure Camellia Cleansing Oil 2.  Cleanse // Fresh Soy Cleanser (Not Shown) 3.  Tone // SK-II Facial Treatment Essence (Transferred to a travel-size spray bottle) 4.  Treat Specific Needs // Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster (for brightening) 5.  Treat Specific Needs // Clarins Double Serum (for anti-aging) 6.  Treat Specific Needs // Clinique Pep-Start (eye cream) 7.  Moisturize // Clarins Multi-Active Moisturizer (day and night)   8.  Apply Sun Protection // Tatcha Silken Pore-Perfecting Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 35
The yellow triangle includes special treats on rotation. 1.   Hydrating // GlamGlow Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment (use as overnight leave-on sleeping mask) 2.  Firming // GlamGlow Gravitymud Firming Treatment + Dr. Jart+ Firming Solution Sheet Mask 3.  Brightening // Fresh Peony Brightening Night Treatment Mask (leave-on) + SkinFood Blanc Pearl Caviar Cream Mask Sheet 4.  Eye Treatment // GlamGlow Brightmud Eye Treatment + Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist 24 Eye Mask + DHC Revitalizing Moisture Strips for Eyes. 5.  Pore-Clearing // Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask
