McCabe's was a random find as we came to the Porter Square area to check out a property.  This is a very charming neighborhood in Cambridge, with tree-lined streets and many gorgeous Victorian homes. When I saw the cute front of McCabe's, with bright-colored flower pots hanging and large windows where you could see happy patrons enjoying their brunch, we just couldn't pass on trying it out.  It is a bar/restaurant, but the inside is very homey and nicely decorated.  Staff was great as well.

The brunch menu has your breakfast staples, but with a spin on them.  My french toast is made with Challah topped with homemade whipped cream and 100% pure maple syrup. It's cooked just right, not soggy at all. My bf opted for the breakfast sandwich, made with my favorite bread - brioche bun!  Topped with thick bacon pieces and a fried egg. It's quite a heavy meal, so we took half of it home.
